Back to the basics

Today was a very uplifting day at church. I wanted to see Edy teach, so I went to the Gospel Principles class. The lesson was about who we are, our relationship with God. First of all, we need to truly understand that God is our literal Heavenly Father. He created us before we came to this earth, we are His spirit children. We lived with Him before we came to earth. As we learn this, and get our conviction about this simple fact, we begin to understand where we stand in His plan. We are not outcast, He is not punishing us by sending us in this world. On the contrary, we are here because He loves us, and He wants us to go back home to Him. We are here to obtain a body, then to learn step by step to make right choices, to become more like our Father. As we do so, we will one day return to Him, and inherit everything He has. Yes, we fail along the way, but we have our Savior Jesus Christ to rely on. He atoned for us, and in return, we can repent every day, we can be baptized and clea

I am taking your advice, and I am entering my first photo contest. It's a contest on Facebook, and I can win an iPad 2, if I get enough public votes to make it to the finals. I need as many votes as possible. Please, go to the following link, and vote for my picture. Then, you can share it on your Facebook wall, and have others vote as well. Changes...

This weekend brought a LOT of snow, so I decided to do my part at work quickly, and spend the rest of the day at home - my home :) It is my place of refuge, my haven from the world. Anyway, this post is not about how good my apartment is, but it's about ME - like always :)    I looked over my goals for 2012. I don't think I'll do all of those things, but I am doing something else that I swore last year I would not do again. I am on the planning committee for the YSA convention this summer. I decided in November to do things that would get me out of my comfort zone - and I signed up for something waaaay out! But today I realized that what I thought it would be a pain, is actually something I like to do. It's ok, I'm also the head of a subcommittee, no big deal, I guess I jumped out of my zone, not only stepped out of it. Today i looked over the notes from the last meeting, over the ideas we all contributed with, and tried to figure out what we need to do. I&#

Winter is here

I have been up to so much this year, and to be honest, it is very hard to recognize myself! But it's a good thing. So... after moving 4 km away from town, temperature started dropping... they got down to 15 below 0 in the morning (when I was supposed to walk to work...) Don't worry, I could go to the North Pole with my winter coat, and furry boots :D And guess what? It's been snowing since yesterday! Everything is covered in snow, and I'm not talking about 2 cm of snow, but more like 30 , and even more! This morning, while walking to work (btw, where did the pavements disappear???) I took these pictures. Enjoy the beautiful winter white!
