An update...

I haven't written here in a very long time. I didn't know what to write... or how to put my feelings, my life into words. It sounds funny since I love to talk and I am almost never out of words. You might remember the post about Flowers and Fingernail Polish... well, the good friend , the guy who drew those ended up to be my boyfriend. His name is Peter. He is from Szeged, Hungary, but lives in Preston, England. We met at the YSA Conference held in Dobogoko Hungary. We liked each other so we decided to keep in touch. Well, things evolved very fast, and I will just put down main ideas: 1. Went back to work after the conference, my boss shared with me things I did not really agree with (no need of details) so the next day I turned in my 20 day notice (according to the law) I told him I did not see things his was, and I didn't want to continue working together, but to make it a nice "break up" I was going according to the law (instead of immediate termination) In...

Elections Time!!!

Image
I want to start by sharing a picture, a campaign poster, which represents all the politicians here in Romania at this time: I hate doing politics, but this picture represents all that I think of the politicians here: hiding behind smiles, pretending to make it all about people when it's all about themselves, empty promises with no real and steady ground... And he is so bold to come out with a mask to ask for us to vote for him! What this picture makes me think of is all those movie scenes with bank robbers with guns, threatening people and stealing all the money... And also of... "WHY SO SERIOUS?" ... The question is: who will I vote for this Sunday? This guy represent all of the candidates, so I decided to vote with every single one of them ... they all get my vote, and in a very funny way, none of them gets it :D This is my way of protesting against their empty , fake promises.

Winter is here

Image
I have been up to so much this year, and to be honest, it is very hard to recognize myself! But it's a good thing. So... after moving 4 km away from town, temperature started dropping... they got down to 15 below 0 in the morning (when I was supposed to walk to work...) Don't worry, I could go to the North Pole with my winter coat, and furry boots :D And guess what? It's been snowing since yesterday! Everything is covered in snow, and I'm not talking about 2 cm of snow, but more like 30 , and even more! This morning, while walking to work (btw, where did the pavements disappear???) I took these pictures. Enjoy the beautiful winter white!

Back to...

I am back in Arad! I woke up this morning, and for a second, I thought I was back home in my bed. Then I saw the table next to me, and the dream was over. I finished unpacking, and got all comfortable, now comes the fun stuff! I start teaching English today. I have to come up with awesome lesson plans, and get my English skills from under the rug. I haven't spoken it since... since I went back to Stei! I need to start calling my friends again, I am horrible at keeping in touch with them. Maybe I even got on their "people to kill" list.. I wouldn't blame them! Anyway, I need to get out of the house, but guess what? It's cold outside! Yesterday, Arad welcomed me with sun and warmth, and now, dark clouds and cold... Thank you! Going job hunting will be a blast! I need to take a shower, so I will talk to you later... if i don't freeze ;) Have a fabulous day! The weekend is on its way :D

Today is my last day in Stei. My stay here was a sweet blessing, having time to rest, and relax for a little while. But I cannot just sit back, and let life pass by, all the great experiences to leave me behind. I have to admit that I will miss my family. My family I will also miss the great guy I met here who took me out on some cool dates. Arad is a city I like a lot, so I will be busy. I am excited to teach English again. I will also meet with my friends, and have fun. The crazy part is that I will go job hunting every day :D The awesome life of a college graduate :) I will write more next tie, I have to find my phone charger. Believe it or not, I text a lot! Paul got me addicted! talk to you later :)
