Retrospective on EFY

I finally feel rested. EFY was amazing! But I have to admit that I am not 18 anymore... it got to me! So I needed some time to readjust to my walk-work-walk schedule ;) I don't want people to think that I am made of stone or a robot - which ideas shouldn't be excluded ;) EFY meant a lot to me. It was a new experience, challenging and uplifting. First, I have to say that I had the best girls in my group. I was humbled by the love they showed me even from the first moment they got there. now you have to understand that I was horrified by the fact that my Hungarian is good except for the gospel, where I am still learning. But my girls didn't care how much a stuttered, they understood me. From this I learnt first that one can be blessed with charity towards others instantly. I never forgot I could come to love people in a very short time. I loved the girls (Panka, Fanni, Henni, Petra, Berta, Laura and Zsofi) from the start. I felt in a way like I was back on my mission, wh...

Blessings

I had another long night at work. I have been feeling so tired lately! It makes me feel horrible because I feel like I'm wasting time with all this sleeping during the day... Oh well, what can I do? Life goes on, right? But I can't complain. I am blessed with many things. Last night, I was talking to one of my coworkers, who was very frustrated that he doesn't earn as much as he would want. I told him I  was frustrated also that I couldn't do more, like go swimming, buy a nice camera, go on vacation, but I named some of the things I don't lack: I have food to eat, a warm house I live in, clothes to keep me warm, a nice notebook to keep me connected to the world, health to work hard and have fun. He was confused. I don't blame him since all he wants from life is to have a girl to sleep with every night... sigh... that's a different story, moving on. My two coworkers took a break for an hour, and I was left by myself to watch over the store. People came, and...

"Be Good to Yourself"

Tonight was a Journey night... a good mood night. I came across this song - "Be Good to Yourself", and it got me thinking about the choices I have made this week. I decided in March to fight for myself, for the future I want for myself. why did I have to decide that? Partly because most of my decisions had been made starting from the thought of helping my family, sacrificing everything to helping them. Those were the right decisions at that time, and I am so grateful I got to make them. But as time passed, my priorities and needs changed, so I had to learn to start deciding for helping myself build a better future. It hasn't been easy, I had to find motivation to do it, and I still haven't been very motivated. I swear is so much easier to fight for someone else than for myself! But I thought I was doing just fine... until tonight, while listening to this song. I decided to move out from the place I live in now, and move in with a coworker who's a good friend ...

15 again

I felt butterflies again, a feeling I haven't felt in such a long time :)  They were sweet ones, but at the worst timing and the worst place :( Worst timing: I am leaving in two weeks for a long time.  Worst place: in Stei, the city I will never live for more than a total of a couple of months a year. The feeling was so sweet because it was for my best Best BEST friend that I grew up with. We had the same classes from 1st to 8th grade. We lived in the same neighborhood. We used to do everything together, and my fondest memories are those of him, of us. I even broke my arm while running with him.  Life plays many tricks on me, on every one. I moved to Oradea, and after that to Arad. We didn't keep in touch at all. I saw him once for a minute in 10th grade when I came to visit, and we were still best friends. After that, nothing. Until today. My mom and I were out with our bikes, doing the shopping. We were ready to return home, when she saw Sorin (that's his name). I...
