Happy New Year

2011 is over, and 2012 is ready to become a better year - and that because I want to make it so.  I can't say 2011 was bad, it had its ups and downs.Looking back, I guess it was a pretty good year. Things that happened:

- My cousin moved to Arad - having family closer makes a big difference
- I traveled more to Hungary - helps me better understand my Hungarian roots
- I was part of the planning committee of a 9 country YSA Convention - it sure got me out of my comfort zone, and learnt a lot from it
- Participated in a 9 country YSA Convention - the first for me - it was fun to meet many new people, and make new friends
- I was shop manager at the gas station, it was not what I expected, and learnt that you cannot change things by yourself, with everyone involved opposing change
- I got a new job at a computer store (build, fix, sell computers, computer parts, printers...). I'm in charge of acquisitions, which means I need to learn the technical part, and always know what's new out there - it keeps my brain busy, and I love learning something new every day
- I met the man of my dreams, the knight in shiny armour, the one I've been dreaming of since I remember, and I realized that what I always wanted is not what I need, so 2011 is the year I turned down a proposal, with no regrets or second thoughts
- I spent Christmas with my family - the last time we were all together was 2006. The best way to celebrate Christmas is with the family :)
- I ran the Santas Race again - a fund raising event, after which 15 poor families were helped financially, so they could have a nice Christmas
- I tried to do a fund raising event, taking pictures to raise money for the Intensive Care Unit at the municipal hospital - I couldn't go through with it because I couldn't find an ONG with the right to take pictures for money - not giving up yet
- I applied for Hungarian citizenship
- I was called as Institute and Seminary teacher - my favorite calling
- Got the YSA Centre running in Arad - with the crucial help of my two favorite people (besides my family) , Elder and Sister Howells, and the help of the YSAs here :D


Many things happened in 2011, and as I look over my list, it's all about me. I want 2012 to still be about me, but to affect others through me. Let's see what will happen this year! :D

     My husband and I have been married for 18 months now. We are very happy together, we love and cherish each other, and our path is sunny, in spite of the rainy English weather. One of the things we both want greatly is to have children. I said 3, he said 5, in the end we might end up with 4 :)      This year was a rocky year. The perfect proposal

It was the morning of the 6th of December, in our room at the gorgeous Copthorne Hotel Gatwick  . (we were staying there with his mum, sister, and 3 friends of theirs) The plan for that morning was breakfast at 9 o'clock with everyone, then Peter, Monika, Angelina and me would go visit London, which was 36 miles away. We previously decided to leave at 10. It was 8:30 am, and we were getting ready for breakfast. During the night, Saint Nick dropped some candies in Peter's shoes, but he skipped mine... maybe he decided we were sharing anyway. Peter, with a big smile on his face, went to talk to Monika, only to tell me 5 minutes later that we had to run to the Pharmacy to get some kind of cream or lotion. I haven't written here in a very long time. I didn't know what to write... or how to put my feelings, my life into words. It sounds funny since I love to talk and I am almost never out of words. You might remember the post about Flowers and Fingernail Polish... well, the good friend , the guy who drew those ended up to be my boyfriend. His name is Peter. He is from Szeged, Hungary, but lives in Preston, England. We met at the YSA Conference held in Dobogoko Hungary. We liked each other so we decided to keep in touch. Well, things evolved very fast, and I will just put down main ideas: 1. Went back to work after the conference, my boss shared with me things I did not really agree with (no need of details) so the next day I turned in my 20 day notice (according to the law) I told him I did not see things his was, and I didn't want to continue working together, but to make it a nice "break up" I was going according to the law (instead of immediate termination) In...
