Days of Eni's life

A couple of nights ago we had an amazing lightning storm! Half an hour of lights and sounds :) All I can says is AMAZING! I am very lucky to live on the top floor of the building, and have a window right above my bed. I grabbed my camera, opened the window, stood with my head out, and took some pictures. They are not amazing, but I had a great time experimenting with my camera before the rain started, which forced me to go back in. Here are some pictures, just for fun :)

It is amazing how the snails try every day to get on the other side of the pavement! Like there's no grass on this side! Oh well... Here are some adventurous snails. It's pretty amazing to watch them... although it takes a lot of patience, considering their speed. So just sit back, and watch them through my eyes. Enjoy!  

I think I posted this before, but I can't find it anywhere! Maybe it was just a group email? Anyway, I am writing this again after having a small argument over a joke I posted on Facebook.  My post today is about one of my personal studies on my mission, it was during my first transfer, it started lightly, but then it took up my whole study time that morning. I kept adding to it whenever I found something interesting in the scriptures :) And yes, I made my companion laugh at this, but you will see that it is pretty serious. And yest, I laugh at myself for studying this on my mission :D It started with verse 21 in 2 Nephi 1, where Lehi gives his last advice to his sons before he dies. So last night I posted a little joke we said at the Church, and I was shocked that a lot of people took seriously what I said... why do people take seriously everything others post on Facebook? To make it clear again: it was a joke! And here it is, again: "All men are pigs. The quest is to find the best pig for you." Here is the context of it. We had a YSA dinner, and we were sitting around the table, eating and talking - that's what girls do when they get together. There was some complaining about some guys's behavior. The mood was pretty gloomy, and all of the sudden, someone who is married, said the before mentioned joke. We all laughed, and we moved to talking about other things like school, vacation, and other light, fun stuff. Some people got offended after posting this on Facebook. Today was a very uplifting day at church. I wanted to see Edy teach, so I went to the Gospel Principles class. The lesson was about who we are, our relationship with God. First of all, we need to truly understand that God is our literal Heavenly Father. He created us before we came to this earth, we are His spirit children. We lived with Him before we came to earth. As we learn this, and get our conviction about this simple fact, we begin to understand where we stand in His plan. We are not outcast, He is not punishing us by sending us in this world. On the contrary, we are here because He loves us, and He wants us to go back home to Him. We are here to obtain a body, then to learn step by step to make right choices, to become more like our Father. As we do so, we will one day return to Him, and inherit everything He has.    This weekend brought a LOT of snow, so I decided to do my part at work quickly, and spend the rest of the day at home - my home :) It is my place of refuge, my haven from the world. Anyway, this post is not about how good my apartment is, but it's about ME - like always :)    I looked over my goals for 2012. I don't think I'll do all of those things, but I am doing something else that I swore last year I would not do again. I am on the planning committee for the YSA convention this summer. I decided in November to do things that would get me out of my comfort zone - and I signed up for something waaaay out! But today I realized that what I thought it would be a pain, is actually something I like to do. It's ok, I'm also the head of a subcommittee, no big deal, I guess I jumped out of my zone, not only stepped out of it.
