A walk in the park

We had a day of full sunshine and joy. It was warm and beautiful :D Peter and I spent the afternoon walking in the park, enjoying the sun, and taking pictures. Here are some beautiful ones :)

Life changes

I haven't written anything in more than two years! Wow! Life flies by, and you can easily miss seeing the blessings if you don't stop to breath for a second. Yes, I am still working at Lidl. It's only one day a week, a 10 hour shift. And why is that? Because now I am a mother of two beautiful, smart, loving little girls. Even though it is the most exhausting thing being with them all the time, it is the most rewarding work. I am so proud of who they are becoming! I do not realise how rewarding it is until someone makes a comment like 'Emma sang with us!' or 'Your girls are so well behaved!' or 'Emma can speak three languages?' Yes, I am a proud mum, but I get swept away by all the playing and reading and singing and hugging that I do not step back to see the results. I just flow with it. What WILL I do?

I had the chance to go to Arad last weekend, which happened to be the weekend of the Ukraine Temple dedication. The branch rented a minibus, and a lot of the members got their temple recommends, woke up early in the morning, and at 5 a.m. we were on the way to the Brasov chapel. The trip was long, but it was all worth it. I don't remember a lot of the  words that were said in the ceremony, but I remember the way I felt. I felt like I was in a temple, and it was so peaceful. There wa one thing that was said that has stuck with me since: "With the occasion of this temple dedication, each and every one of us should rededicate our lives to God." I have been thinking about that a lot, especially because lately I have been feeling like I wasn't doing my best. With this invitation, I started thinking about what I could do to redeticate myself. Elections Time!!!

I want to start by sharing a picture, a campaign poster, which represents all the politicians here in Romania at this time: I hate doing politics, but this picture represents all that I think of the politicians here: hiding behind smiles, pretending to make it all about people when it's all about themselves, empty promises with no real and steady ground... And he is so bold to come out with a mask to ask for us to vote for him! What this picture makes me think of is all those movie scenes with bank robbers with guns, threatening people and stealing all the money... And also of... "WHY SO SERIOUS?" ... The question is: who will I vote for this Sunday? This guy represent all of the candidates, so I decided to vote with every single one of them ... they all get my vote, and in a very funny way, none of them gets it :D This is my way of protesting against their empty , fake promises.
