Another poem
I couldn't decide which poem to post next, but I just had a moment of inspiration! Actually, I had an idea come to me today as I read in the news about President Obama, his actions and his image in the world. I don't know if I got it right, you will have to correct me if I'm wrong. So here is the link to the article that I read:

My main impression was that they were saying it's not the image one has in the world that matters, but the actions one takes. President Obama comes across as the first black president of the US, who can talk in public, who won the Nobel Prize for Peace, but the image is not enough when it comes down to solving problems. He has to show through his actions and decisions what he is really made of.
From this idea, I decided to share with you one of my poems :
WHO I AM
I may not be rich,
Nor have a lot of things to give,
But what I know is this:
that I can bring men peace.
I may not be trendy,
Nor have the smell of money,
But I know deep inside me
I am filled with charity.
I may not be smart,
Nor know how to sing,
But I know that God
Gave me many gifts.
I may not be beautiful,
Nor have friends around me,
But I know that with my smile
I can show compassion.
I'm not be the best in teaching,
Nor have the gift of speaking,
But I know that with one word
I can help those who're striving.
I may not be perfect,
I know that no one is,
But I know that I can try
To give the best of me.
